The use of generative artificial intelligence in arbitration and litigation proceedings pose both promise and peril, for parties, practitioners, and (in particular) the court and arbitrators.

A new wave of standards and guidelines gave thought to define best practice for the use of artificial intelligence in dispute resolution. This session will include an introduction to the Ciarb Protocol on use of AI in Arbitration, as well as current practice and attitudes of the Australian courts and in international arbitration.

Finally, panellists will cover the emerging trends on the use of AI in dispute resolution, equipping participants to make appropriate use of this technology as it continues to evolve.
