International Women's Day 2025: Frontiers reached and on the horizon

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This year’s theme is “Accelerated Action” a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements or rally for women’s equality. In recognition of the under-representation of women on international arbitral tribunals, in 2015 members of the arbitration community drew up a pledge to take action (the Pledge). The Pledge seeks to increase, on an equal opportunity basis, the number of women appointed as arbitrators in order to achieve a fair representation as soon as practically possible, with the ultimate goal of full parity. The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators is a signatory to the Pledge.

Join us for a discussion with a panel of women who have forged their own paths to success where we explore the paths taken, what IWD means to the panellists and their views on where the next frontier lies.
