On Thursday, 27 March 2025, Ciarb Australia held an excellent In Conversation event with distinguished arbitrators, Neil Kaplan CBE KC SBS and Bronwyn Lincoln.

The discussion centered around some of the most current and pressing issues:

• The Role of the Tribunal in Guiding the Arbitration: the tribunal is not there at the whim of the parties
• The Need for an ‘Informed’ PO1: the time for template procedural orders with no thought as to whether they suit the needs of the dispute is over
• The Benefits of AI: and the pitfalls
• ‘Courage’:  as a key element of successful arbitration

This event also launched the branch’s 30th Anniversary celebrations, introduced by Geoff Farnsworth, President of Ciarb Australia.
