Arbitral institutions sit at the centre of the arbitration landscape across Asia Pacific: they administer much of the region’s caseload, maintain the panels and lists from which arbitrators are drawn, and make the appointments that launch arbitral careers.

This webinar is the fast track to understanding how those institutions work and how they choose the arbitrators they appoint. Our panel brings together four institutions from three of the Asia-Pacific’s leading arbitration hubs: Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Expect candid, practical insight on the eligibility requirements and application processes for institutional panels and lists, the reasons applications most often fail, and what young and emerging practitioners should be doing in the two or three years before they apply. The discussion addresses both sides of the process: how to position yourself for appointment, and how institutions assess and select candidates in practice.
