Current Trends in International Arbitration: Early Openings, Mediation Pauses and Tribunal Experts

May 16th, 2021

CIArb Australia, in conjunction with the Victorian Bar, is proud to present a CPD seminar entitled –  Current Trends in International Arbitration: Early Openings, Mediation Pauses and Tribunal Experts.

This seminar will explore various procedural techniques which have been used in the resolution of International Arbitration disputes. The techniques which will be discussed are early openings, where parties open their cases ahead of any evidentiary hearings; mediation pauses, where procedural timetables make allowance for parties to conduct negotiations and mediations without the pressure of other procedural steps; and the use by the Tribunal of the parties’ respective experts post-hearing.

This seminar will also discuss the use of mock hearings as a preparatory tool in International Arbitration.
